Course Details

Instruction includes routine maintenance and dealing with common issues such as blockages.

Note: Operators with less experience may require additional time beyond the course duration to fully master all skills.

  • Prepare the machine for operation, including startup, safety checks, and shutdown procedures

  • Set up a work area and assess materials for chipping, recognising unsuitable materials

  • Safely and efficiently chip various types of timber, using approved techniques

  • Manage blockages following correct procedures

  • Understand safety considerations and environmental factors associated with woodchip disposal and usage

  • Prepare the woodchipper for transport and storage
