You'll begin with a detailed review of the machine’s capabilities, along with key health and safety considerations. After the theory, you’ll participate in a variety of practical exercises, including handling different loads and operating on diverse terrain types.

• Identify the basic construction, components, and purpose of all controls and gauges

• Follow manufacturer instructions, operator handbooks, load charts, and applicable regulations

• Perform pre-use and running checks thoroughly

• Configure the telescopic material handler for both site and road travel

• Safely travel over different types of terrain, with and without loads

• Manoeuvre in confined spaces using forward and reverse, with and without loads

• Set up the telescopic handler for lifting various types of loads

• Lift, place, and retrieve loads across the full working range of the machine

• Ensure the integrity and security of each load

• Safely place and retrieve loads from vehicle beds or trailers

• Maintain operations within safe working parameters

• Place the machine in an out-of-service condition when necessary
